St. Sahag Sunday School

St. Sahag Fall Sunday School Term

Dear Families of St. Sahag,

The St. Sahag Sunday School will be getting underway, beginning September 14.
We will be conducting three separate programs this year.

A preschool program for children ages 2-6. This will be held each Sunday during the first portion of Church Services from 10:30 am to 11:30. These students will then join the service for Holt Communion. Parents are welcome to stay with their children in the classroom if they so choose. Margaret Boyer, who has become much beloved by the children, will continue as the lead teacher of this program.

A school-aged program for children ages 6-14. This will be held each Sunday following fellowship. Classes will last about 45 minutes. This change to the schedule is in response to the students' expressed desire to serve at the altar. It also allows Father Sahak to meet with these children one Sunday a month to work with students interested in serving at the altar or those who wish to learn more about the service.

An adult study group will be held on the second Sunday of each month following fellowship. These classes are open to anyone interested in learning and discussing the specific aspects of the Armenian Orthodox teachings and beliefs. Father Sahak will lead these one hour classes. The first class on the topic of Baptism will be held Sunday, September 14 , 2008.

We are looking for student and adult volunteers to serve as teachers, substitutes, and facilitators of single special events such as the Children's Nativity.
